Touch Screen Rotation

Hi, I've got a touch screen module based on the AT91SAM9X35 processor. I am trying to rotate the touch screen output (both image and touch screen coordinates) by 180 degrees (equivalent to a horizontal flip). I am not sure how to do this. I tried the

 echo 2 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/rotate

as suggested on a website but nothing seems to happen. Any suggestion?

A touchscreen is an input device.
If you're using Linux, then tslib is a portable way to use a touchscreen.
