help with my eval board

Sun Nov 23, 2008 10:25 pm

hi, i have a AT91EB40 board, with a AT91R40807 processor.
i am running linux, and have the cd for the board.
i have been trying to get it working for about a year now, to no avail.
the problem is that i cannot compile(or rather LINK) the sample programs in C that are supplied on the disc.

i want to start from scratch. i have the sources for the gnu-arm toolchain(gcc and binutils).
what options should i provide when compiling them?
what order shall i do it in.

the disc includes a load of header files/object files/archives(.h,.o,.a). i am unsure about how to use them. i have never used gcc for compiling to a different architecture.

any help would be appreciated. seriously, a flashing light would please me immensely.

I have included a tree of the dev files on the disc.

Have you tried "Embedded System Design on a Shoestring" - this book has step-by-step recommendations exactly for your board?
