Viewing content of a struct or class while debugging

Thu Sep 25, 2014 2:51 am

I am working on a SAMD21 project in C++ using Atmel Studio 6.2. While at a breakpoint, I am trying to look at the contents of a struct or a class.

If I hover of a pointer to a struct, or drag the pointer to the watch window, the only thing under a struct pointer is an item called public. If it is a class, the only thing under the class is a item called private. It doesn't seem to matter if if the struct itself is public or private, or if the members of the struct are public. While debugging, public/private should not matter anyway - all the internals of structs and classes should be visible.

Is there some debug setting I am missing or are the internals of structs and classes just not available while debugging.
