I am evaluating SAM E/S/V for advanced motion control projects.
Now I am looking how to interface quadrature encoder using TC peripheral.
Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to implement Position Compare function. (The function generates a pulse on output pin once the encoder counter compares to predefined value).
According to datasheet, register TC_RC provides compare; however, I cannot find any way to output compare event to a pin.
Any solution that involves interrupts/software in not good, because the function should provide few-nanoseconds delay.
Basically, connecting the compare signal to a pin directly is not the best solution, because usual implementation requires pulse of desired width. If, for example, I am able to connect internally compare signal from channel 0 to trigger of channel 2, I would use channel 2 in waveform mode to generate pulse of predefined width.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I see the forum is not too buzzy.
Does anybody know if the forum is monitored by Atmel staff?
Does anybody know better place to post such kind of questions?
