Problem with prebuilt update

Fri Nov 30, 2018 9:48 pm

I just got my SAMA5D3Xplained board.

The board connected and booted out of the box so I thought I would update the board to the latest revision.

I burned the image below into SD card:

Plugged the SD card into the slot and removed JP5 to make sure it wasn't booting from FLASH.

LED turns on and then will start to blink. Once blinking the COM23 becomes active on Teraterm or the ttyACM0 on minicom but no characters come out. I checked to make sure the BAUD rate is 115K 8N1N.

I used the Linux script to burn the image below:

Into FLASH. removed JP5 and booted, then replaced JP5 and ran the script. No error message and the program cycle took about 3 minutes.

Same identical behavior as the SDCARD image.

Thanks for any help.

Moving to 5.8 did work but it is not a very good answer. Why would you ever post a version that doesn't work?

Also, following the advice to place an FDTI adapter on the debug port works.

Time to open another topic.
