Hello,
I got a bit confused after reviewing sama5d2 documentation about memories.
I hope someone can help with it.
In https://www.at91.com/linux4sam/bin/view ... EKMainPage it talks about u-boot loading from sd or from qspi:
"Tips: qspi means to read quad-SPI serial flash, sd means to read mmc card. "
in same page, there is a block diagram of the chip which mentions "LPDDR2/3 , SLC MLC DRAM , external BUS, bootrom, sram , fuse"
In another related page:
https://www.at91.com/linux4sam/bin/view ... edMainPage
It mentions "SPI + eMMC Flash demo - Memory map"
Is it that the emmc above refers to "SD card" ?
Thank you,
ranran

Re: non-volatile memories in sama5d27Som1EKM
The pages you link to in your post are for two different boards.
The SAMA5D2 Xplained board has external (to the MPU) DDR3 SDRAM, an eMMC, a serial SPI flash, and a single SD card slot.
The SOM1-EK1 board has a SiP SAMA5D27, which has internal DDR2. The SOM itself has a 64Mbit QSPI flash. The SOM1-EK1 has no NVM, but has two SD card slots (one full size, one micro).
Both boards have a small EEPROM for MAC Address and SN storage. The user manuals for both boards can be found on the Microchip web site.
