ATSAMA5D21 boot files required

Thu Jun 15, 2017 6:52 am

I we have got series of Evaluation boards like ATSAMA5D2-Xplained-ULT (which has ATSAMA5D27) and other boards also with ATSAMA5D21,ATSAMA5D22 etc.

For SAMA5D2-XULT we have got the demo boot files (serial boot, nand boot, eMMC) with both JTAG/JLINK and USB from SAM-BA_3.14 installation folder (sam-ba_3.14/examples/sama5d2/)

We tried with USB and able to boot SAMA5D2-XULT with linux-poky (Yocto).

Now, we would like to try SAMA5D21, SAMA5D22 etc.

Where can we get the boot files for them. Can we use same files from the sam-ba_3.14 folder. we tried using them but no success. is there any thing that we need change in these files.

"No success" is a low-quality summation that is not going to get you any specific advice.

What "boot files" you can utilize from the demo files for a specific board on other (custom?) boards depends on factors such as board configurations and boot strategies (and chip errata in the case of SAMA5D2).
In general AT91Bootstrap, U-Boot, the Linux kernel, and the root filesystem do not have to change much for variants in the same SoC line.
When properly configured and built, board and all of the SoC line (or even family) variations can be accommodated (for the kernel) by using a proper Device Tree for each board.

Note that SAM-BA has a 3.2beta4 release, and Linux4SAM has a 5.6 release (as of 14 Jun 2017).
