Enable GPIO pin

Fri Aug 14, 2015 1:22 am

I want to know what is the correct way to enable gpio pin pioA 2. I try below but pin is not enable.

wlan_en_reg: fixedregulator@0 {
compatible = "regulator-fixed";
regulator-name = "wlan-en-regulator";
regulator-min-microvolt = <1800000>;
regulator-max-microvolt = <1800000>;
gpios = <&pioA 2 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>;
startup-delay-us = <70000>;
};

What are you actually trying to do with this GPIO (i.e. a GPIO for a fixed regulator has a specific purpose)?
How do you know that it's not "enabled"?

BTW learn how to ask questions: http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

I am new to kernel stuff and it's a simple question as how to enable gpio correctly for this particular regulator or show me the how to document.

Thanks for all your comments. This is definitely a great forum!
