sshd hangs on SAMA5D4 ultra xplained

Sun Feb 15, 2015 11:58 am

Hi
Am new to this forum.
I fire up the SAMA5D4 xplained board, log in via ethernet on SSH (board is a dhcp client)  and do a few things
THEN
# fdisk -l

fdisk then shows a list down to
/dev/mtdblock7  (the big partition)

and then it hangs.

If I try and log in again with a new SSH session, it does not respond.

I updated the image per the online instructions- yep that works.

#cat /etc/version
 201410301621

Is it just too early to expect much from this board? I know it is new..

serial console is not functioning either (but the board updated happily)
The board is still alive, just the ssh daemon appears to be hung

regards

What "online instructions"?

That is not a filename found in the typical rootfs (e.g. neither Buildroot or Debian-armhf installs such a file).
The file contents are not meaningful for a kernel version; it may be for the rootfs or distro.
You may have installed some oddball kernel and/or rootfs that causes/relates to the hang.

This is the most serious issue IMO, and you should not be so dismissive.
