Do we need the USB/SOF pin (PA23)?

Thu Jan 21, 2016 1:15 pm

Hi.

We want to use a SAMD21E on our target. Configured/equipped with USB.
But, do we really need the USB/SOF-pin (PA23) as stated in the SAMD21 datasheet:
a) When programming our device using SAM-BA?
b) During target USB communication in general (only small amount of data is exchanged) ?
c) Can I use Atmel example software for SAMD21 if this USB/SOF pin is not present?

Best Regards
