Hi All,
I downloaded the file linux4sam-poky-sama5d4_xplained-5.5.zip from the Sama5d4Xplained site here: linux4sam/bin/view/Linux4SAM/Sama5d4XplainedMainPage
I see the file demo_script_linux_nandflash.tcl has the following layout for the mtd partitions:
256k(bootstrap)ro
512k(uboot)ro
256k(env)
256k(env_redundant)
256k(spare)
512k(dtb)
6M(kernel)ro
-(rootfs)
I was hoping someone could clarify the "spare" partition - what is this required for?
Thanks,
Brian.

"Spare" (as opposed to "reserved") implies you can use it for whatever.
