Booting SAMA5D3x-MB REV C Atmel Board

Thu Nov 21, 2013 12:14 pm

Hi experts,
Referring to the atmel link, the DBGU - debug terminal to access the board is J14. But unfortunately the board we have here doesn't have the J14 micro USB connector.

Is any other way to access the serial terminal of the board for booting ?

If so, please tell us the necessary configuration to be done to achieve that.

Thanks,
Dhiv

Dhiv,

I have a SAMA5D3x-MB REV C board. The J14 connector is next to J9 and J11 connector.

Is the connector missing from the board?

Hi Mahen,
Yes J14 was written after J9 and J11 of the board, but the micro USB connector was not present there.

Thanks,

You can use any ttl2serial converter (even onboard one) which can be connected to the desoldered R44 and R45 resistors (main CPU side) on the main board.
