Hi, I'm new in the aria ARM - Atmel. Recently I bought ATMEL SAM-ICE and ATSAM4S16BA. Can I write the flash of the chip with SAM-ICE, and if not, how to use SAM-BA, some links. Thanks

Hello
You do not seem to mention a board - just a chip...
You can use your SAM-ICE and Keil MDK to program your SAM4 using any ELF file. See http://www.keil.com/appnotes/files/apnt_228.pdf

This is for MDK 4.73 - load the Legacy support or convert the project to a MDK 5 project.

This is an easy way to get going with Atmel and ARM.
Atmel also has their own tools - but I have never used them.

Hi,
I've purchased SAM4E-EK..yet to receive...meanwhile i went through its user guide, i realized that SAM4E-EK doesn't have on-board debugger..
So do i have to purchase SAM-ICE or Atmel-ICE for programming & debugging?
SAM-ICE suports only ARM while Atmel-ICE supports both AVR & ARM..
I'll be using Atmel Studio & ASF documentation as i'm a beginner.

Yes, you'll need one of those... I bought SAM-ICE, works a treat. You have to pay Segger if you want more than five breakpoints simultaneously... I get by with five.
