SAM-BA 2.12 + at91sam9g35-ek problem

Thu Jan 17, 2013 6:52 pm

Hi.
I've got SAM-BA 2.12 on a Windows 7 box and a stock at91sam9g35-ek dev board. When I start the SAM-BA app I select the com port to communicate with the device, select at91sam9g35 as the device and start the app. However, when I try to Enable NandFlash I get a message "-E- Script error: can't detect known device". I have a terminal program watching the debug port and I get this..

I'm trying to follow these directions.
linux4sam/bin/view/Linux4SAM/SAM9x5Page#AT91Bootstrap

RomBOOT
-I- -- NandFlash SAM-BA applet 2.12 --
-I- -- SAM9XX5-EK
-I- -- Compiled: Jun 27 2012 13:39:59 --
-I- INIT command
-I- Device Unknown
-I- End of applet (command : 0 --- status : 1)

Any ideas? This must be something simple.
Thanks
Jim

Check the state of switch SW1 (1,4) as this will disconnect the NAND's Chip Enable line.

In order for it to run SAM-BA it can't boot from NAND, but if you want to work with the NAND you'll need it reconnected.

Return to “SAM-BA”
