sam-ba v2.12 with generic usb (or hardware) serial port?

Mon Sep 02, 2013 6:24 am

I'm trying to use sam-ba 2.12 on both Windows Vista and Linux, both with the built-in serial ports and with a generic USB to serial adaptor, and I'm failing.

The documentation mentions the atmel 6124 usb to serial adaptor. Is there something special about that adaptor? If so, *where* can I get one? It does not seem to be for sale in the Atmel store.

Thanks!

Hi there.

I'm having a similar issue. We have a PIC with onboard USB to the PC and have a 'pass through' mode on it to communicate with the SAM4L, which works 100%. The problem is the SAM-BA tool does not list the COM port.

It sounds like your problem is similar. Have you found a way around it yet?
