Display NVIC registers in Atmel Studio 7 debug/Single Step

Wed Nov 23, 2016 8:02 pm

I am learning how to program the Arduino Due in C using an Atmel SAM/AVR ICE and Atmel Studio 7. I can't seem to find the NVIC registers in the debug windows when single stepping.

I tried to create a work around that would allow me to display the Interrupt Set Enable register zero in the watch window.

I created a pointer to the register using

uint32_t* ISER0_ptr= &NVIC->ISER[0]

and then the following to the watch window *ISER0_ptr

This works well if the pointer is declared inside the function I am single stepping at the time . But if I define the pointer at the top of the .c file or as global the watch window seems to ignore it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
