Autolaunch application at WinCE6 startup

Tue Mar 16, 2010 11:02 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to launch an application at startup of a Windows CE 6.0 device. I added the following lines in the registry file (project.reg):

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init]
"Launch90"="\\NandFlash\\SmARTI.exe"
"Depend90"=hex:0A,00,14,00,1E,00,32,00,3C,00

*The placed the application in NAND flash.

Unfortunately, the application could not start during start-up. Please advise.

I do not know whether the FAT file system on Nand is ready when OS tries to launch your application.

My suggestion is to create an application to try to access NandFlash disk and if successful, launch "SmARTI.exe" through CreateProcess.

Then you can put this "Launcher" appliation as part of NK image and let it be refered by "Launch90"

Have you looked at Mike Hall's Blog?

Which can be found at

Personally I have used the project Socrates Autolaunch, and it works well.

Return to “WinCE”
