Anyone installed node.js / npm?

Wed Mar 28, 2018 7:31 am

Dear AT91SAM users,

I am developing code for a sam9g35 embedded board. I am in the process of putting together a custom Linux build for it. There's a lot to learn, but I'm up to the challenge. There is one question I have: has anyone put node.js and npm onto an at91 Linux system. I can't imagine there's a reason this cannot be done, but I'm still really new to this platform. So here are the questions in detail:

1) Has anyone put node.js and npm onto a sam9 based Linux platform?
2) If not, is there any reason it cannot be done?

Thanks in advance for any hints or advice,

ACV

Since the AT91SAM9G35 SoC has an ARM926EJ-S processor (which is ARMv5) and no HW floating point, you are constrained to use version 0.10.x of Node.js (e.g. Node.js v0.10.48).
There may be package/project dependencies.

See Getting Started with Node.js on an Embedded Single Board Computer Running Linux.
