Hiya!
We have several reports of the ethernet interface on our SAMA5D31-based board, but can't properly reproduce them. What we know so far is that the port
- stops responding to pings
- can't be resurrected with ifup, ifdown
- works again after a reboot.
At the moment we're running kernel 4.0, and have seen that there has been a couple of patches later that might be related, like
- https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ke ... 94fa744965
- https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ke ... cc063289b8
- https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ke ... c55f672604
Can anybody comment on that? Or is there soemthing else to it that I might have overlooked?

Why have you ruled out hardware and/or power and/or site-specific issues?
What's the state of the link LEDs?
Instead of a board reboot, does a re-negotiation (disconnect the cable, reconnect) suffice?
