SAMA5D44 - MDIO usage

Wed Aug 09, 2017 3:03 pm

I am trying to get a Ethernet PHY working and I cannot find any examples in the Xplained dts / dtsi files that use the MDIO bus.

I am using a yocto build based on Linux4SAM 5.5

What do I need to configure to use the bus - I have done some searching in the forums but cannot find anything definitive - Do I need an entry in the dts file? Enable mdio-gpio in defconfig? Disable the LCD?

Thanks,

Brian.

No, the MDIO clock and data pins are already defined as part of the RMII interface of the macb.

No, since the macb driver already has R/W routines for the MDIO interface.
